SCOTT PECK

Influenced further by his grandmother, a professional watercolor artist, he began to investigate the possibilities of achieving impressionistic and other  unique looks with his photography. This led to studies with studio projection, the distortion and manipulation of light with prisms, mirrors, lenses and the use of ice, gels and crystals to obtain effects not readily done with the use of digital or conventional darkroom. The look of this effort was taken a step further with the sophistication and new longevity of Giclees with their watercolor paper and canvas substrates. He was selected from an international field of over 10,000 photographers for display in the 2001 communication Art Photography Annual. He was one of only 24 winners given a full two page display. His images were chosen from a finalist field of 700 photographers from an international call-for-entry sponsored by Graphis out of New York for their new Graphis flora coffee table book on the best of floral photography.
